But thatgirl7278 you're too old for Spring Break.
Yes. I'm far too old for the "South Padre Island (never did that btw), beer guzzling, bikini top dropping scene", but I am definitely not too old for the "family barbequeing (it's a word! look it up!), movie-going, shopping, spending time with my man scene". Nope. Not at all.
This weekend I met half of my boyfriend's family. He took me out into the country (we're talking cows, wild guineas, mini-chickens and the like y'all) on Easter to have lunch with his fam. It was super cool. The food was delicious (*cough* the Spurs won!), the company was friendly and the day was super nice. I had a great time. Afterwards we went over to meet my parents at (one of) my cousin's house. In my family, you know you've been accepted/embraced when you're the butt of the joke. And there were a few jokes tossed his way. Sometimes I think it's those moments that make it all so real to me. That make me realize just how much I've gained by being with him. How truly blessed I am to have him in my life.
Sorry for the icky love stuff. It's hard NOT to gush.
News updates:
1. My cousin has returned! He's back home and all we know is where he was and a bit of what he was up to. Only a couple of people (maybe even just one) have seen him tho, so it's almost like he's not back. At least not completely. Something tells me the road to recovery (mental breakdown?) and forgiveness is not going to be easy or come quickly.
2. Another cousin of mine and his fiance (of like 2+ years!) have set a tentative time table for their wedding. Awwww! I'm especially proud as I introduced them. Yep yep. Maybe they'll name their first daughter after me.

sounds like a good time.
Glad to hear your cousin is back.
I will NEVER be too old for spring break! Maybe when I'm in my 40's I'll actually do one of those "flash my titties" moments. With my luck they'll have "grannies gone wild" filming and I'll loose my job, but I'm sure it will be worth it right?
Thanks y'all. It could have been a lot worse, so I'm glad he's back too. Now of course, we deal w/the aftermath.
