Facebook is the new blog?

I was going through my Facebook news feed this afternoon (shhhhh, don't tell anyone), and I realized that other folks tend to use it (Facebook) as if it was a personal blog.  MANY of my FB buds post/share websites or posts (memes is what they are called, I think - I'm not a big fan per se) onto their wall and out onto the news feeds.  I know I shouldn't bitch (and I'm not really...technically), but it can get a bit cumbersome to have to sift through it all.  Sometimes they are clever or original or even uplifting, but sometimes it's just overkill.  I mean one meme (I REALLY dislike that word for some reason) is acceptable, but four or more ... in a row.... really, folks?  I say, get a blog.  I mean, I want to see some real updates on FB.  Even if it's "I just took a massive poop." or "I'm sitting in line at Walmart."  That is a tad more meaningful to me that a quote from Confucius or 4 different pictures of a dog with funny faces.  Okay - one funny face dog is cool... but 4 or more and I think to myself it's time to get a blog.  You (folks) have just gone into FB meme overkill and clearly want to have a blog or some place to post all the fun/interesting (to you) things you see online.

Yep...  I think I have made my point.  But once again, I am NOT bitching.  Not really.
