I was Thatgirl(7278) again

So on Monday, I flew back to San Antonio from Dallas... only I almost didn't.

I got to the airport Monday night... said goodbye to my honey and went inside. Security took a bit longer than normal and by the time I got to my terminal, I only had 40 minutes to goof around.

So I went to the Chili's and asked if I'd have time to eat before my flight... they said sure.

I sat down, ordered a salad and some "drown my sorrows in queso" queso and went to town. I guess I wasn't paying any attention because as I was sitting there contemplating my return to SA, I finally decided to look down and check on the time on my cell. It said 6:39pm. My flight was leaving at 6:45pm.

OH SHIT!!!!

My waiter, poor guy is taking someone else's order. I had to interrupt and say "I need my check! My flight is in 5 minutes!!" I apologized profusely to the ladies at the other table and waited for him to run my credit card.

He handed me the slip, I tipped him BIG and then I high-tailed it to my terminal.

As I was RUNNING (literally!), I skidded to a stop at the counter and threw out my ticket.

"There you are!", said the Flight Attendant.

"I am soooooo sorry! Am I too late?", I replied.

"No. Go ahead and jump on."

I was so greatful. I don't know what I would have done... I guess taken a later flight. I probably would have had to pay out the wah-zoo (sp?).

Anyway, when I got inside the plane, I sat down in the first seat I could find. I was afraid I'd get the "what?! is that the beyotch we were waiting on?!" look. Well, it was probably 2 seconds after I buckled in that we started taxi-ing down the runway.

Ooops. My bad.

skidded. Here, here!

Anyhow, if you missed the flight, think of all the queso you could have indulged in while waiting for the next flight.

Welcome to my world, baby! For all of my travels I thnk I've made (at best) 75% of my flights. That's a C+. I can't even count the number of times I've been running through the airport. The best would be when I slept through all my flight announcements and missed my plane. Well, at least I have a better track record than the weather "man".

This comment was a lot longer than I anticipated.

I hope you are feeling better about your honey.

HI is pretty amazing. If you visit him. Stop in Cali for a bit of west coast love.

Peace
