I'm trying to get out of my office - and I just spent the last (*cough*) 20 minutes going through all of my accounts and doing the whole "change of address" action.
Anyway, one of my accounts wouldn't let me change it online, I had to call.
Fine.
I'll call.
So I call.
And then an interesting thing happened.
So we know there's all these automated services now. Right?
Right.
Well, this particular one (my health insurance provider) had all the necessary "press 1 for someone you can understand" or "press 2 if you like foreign accents", etc. Well, oddly, I was 2 questions into the automated service when I finally get the "Press 1 for English" and "Press 2 for Spanish". Considering, if I only spoke Spanish, wouldn't I have been completely screwed at this point? I mean, 2-3 questions in?!?!? Shouldn't that have been the 1st? I mean, if I only spoke Spanish, clearly my English is good enough to get me this far. At least I'm assuming that's what THEY are assuming. Regardless, it struck me as amusing.
Anyway, since I've referred to the move 2x now (recently), I guess I'll have to write about it more manana.
Then, fine. I will.

Changing your life (I mean credit cards and accounts) sucks. When I got married, I changed my name and that was a year ago. I still don't have everythign changed because I don't want to deal with the phone calls.
Those calls are so farken annoying! They have made one now, that when you book a flight, you actually talk to a damn computer! and it responds...if...and only if you pronounce all the words like a english teacher! ridiculous!
great blog btw.
How annoying..and this is probably why some of my information really didn't get changed when I was married...a pain in the arse!
So this move....???
