With my birthday coming up, the question on so many people's lips is "Do you think Friday is going to give you a ring?" and my answer every time is "No. I do not."
Mostly because I told him that he better not EVEN try and propose to me on my birthday. That is straight up lazy! I mean, if you're going to propose make it random. Don't pick my birthday, when we'll be on vacation (we're leaving town the morning after) and probably watching the sunset in one of the prettiest places in the state as your proposal setup. That would be way too easy.
Holy shit. I'm an asshole! Why did I tell him not to do that? Stupid Ari.
Besides - it's still too soon. At least I think that's what he thinks. And he's usually right.
Speaking of birthdays... I am turning thirty in less than 2 weeks. Woah.
I can't believe it's here already.
While it's not my style, I am thinking of asking for Best Buy gift cards for my birthday... with graduate school in the Fall, I need to actually suck it up and buy a laptop or PC of sorts. It's kind of about that time, I'd say. My first one and all. Anyways - is it still cool to ask for specific things for birthday presents? Or does one pass that stage at say 29? I just don't know the etiquette.
