And she returns

I have been running here and back and here and back... so I decided to take a couple of days to recoup. Here I sit at home, laundry is almost done, "Mad Men" on Demand, life could not be better. Tomorrow my father turns 55 and fortunately for him, he doesn't look a day over 40 something. Also tomorrow I'm getting my car worked on. A year and some change old and it's already falling apart on me. That's what I get for going foreign. In any case, things keep going and I am running to catch up.

Last week I spent three days with people from all over the country who do what I do... and I feel a helluva lot better about what I do. Sometimes working with the ones who are the hardest to reach/teach can be ... a challenge, so to speak. And when you realize that it's not just a challenge you face alone, it can feel like a load has been lifted off your shoulders. I feel lighter already. I can only hope to sustain it through the rest of the summer and into the Fall.

In other news, I am all signed up for graduate school and I cannot be more happier. It really will be a new beginning for me. I have waited so long to go back, and here I am on the eve of new opportunities. I'm extremely excited.

I go back to work on Thursday...remind me to tell you about my day at Sea World. Love me some seals!
