Sorry for the delayed posts, y'all! I've been super busy at work and in life. In fact, my Spring Break, really wasn't much of break. From Thursday - Sunday, the only time I spent any significant amount of time at home alone was Thursday night and Sunday night from the hours of 8pm til bedtime.
And you know how much I enjoy my home vegging time.
Anyway, holy crap was I busy.
But it's cool. I'm not complaining.
It was a great weekend. I would have to say the only part that sucked was when I broke my cell phone... which means if I had your number before a week ago, I don't anymore. Oops. Feel free to email me your digits my peeps... I'll need them again. However, I have since taken my precious Blackjack to a repair shop. I don't know if it can be fixed... but my hopes are high and expensive.
Let's see... what did I do???
I got my car/satellite radio situation solved. YAY!!! :)
Had lunch w/Dad. Heard the "ooohs" and "aaahs"... and the "Ari, you look so different!"
Went shopping.
Went to the zoo. Got my butterfly/bug exhibit on. I also rode the train at the zoo. That was cool. I felt like a big kid.
Went to the movies and saw "300". Dude. I don't care what the reviews say - that shit was awesome. As was all the skin/12-packs on display. Hummina hummina.
Went to a Spurs game... which we lost. Boo! But it was still fun.
Went dancing/listening to live music.
And finally, partied it up w/the fam. I love my fam y'all... they are so friggin' funny sometimes. One of the MAJOR conversations on Sunday was ... "other names for male and female genitalia that is appropriate for 8-10 year olds".
Lemme essplain.
My little cousin was celebrating his 8th birthday. Woo! Well - you see, he plays baseball and someone had asked him if he needed a "cup". I think at that point he asked what a "cup" was for and his mom (my first cousin) told him it was to "protect his penis". I was aghast! The kid's 8 and she's all going and saying "penis". I mean - at that age shouldn't it be "franks and beans" or "twig and berries" or something else along those lines?? This spawned a conversation that went on to include other "genitalia gems" such as "flower" and "taco" and "Henry's Puffy Tacos" (a San Antonian insider joke). I was laughing so hard... I think some pee may have come out. Either way, it was good times.
On top of all these exciting times, I finally completed my Defensive Driving DVD. Which, while on DVD was probably copied off of a VHS tape and therefore produced around 1990. Oh man was it dated... but still I think I got the message. Either way, I passed. So hopefully, I'll be getting my certificate very soon.
In the meantime, I'm still working hard, running, and having fun w/my new friend - but to be honest, I could still use a damn break. Just one day of NOTHING. Ya know? Alas, I don't see that happening for at least another week and a half. Ugh.
Calgon... take me away!
