So apparently my beer needs a gimmick now.
As consumers we are entertained by the simplest of things.
For example...
Beer Consumer: Oh if only I could tell when my beer was cold enough. The glass of the bottle can be so deceptive. I touch it. It FEELS cold, but when I open it, it's barely chilled. I am so sad. *cue the sad song*
Coors Light Company: HEY, BEER DRINKER! We have solved your problem. With our new Coors Light bottle, you'll know exactly when it's cold. Once it is the proper temperature, the label will turn BLUE!! It's amazing!
Beer Consumer: Thank you, Coors Light. You have saved my life!
My question is... why blue? Why couldn't they have designed the beer bottle label to just have the word "cold" appear. Hmmm, well, perhaps so as not to offend the illiterate beer consumer, I suppose. But still. A color? What are we, in 3rd grade?
Personally, I think it's a part of the beer drinking process. You toss your beer in the fridge and/or ice chest and you wait it out. I mean, they don't chill in just a few minutes people. A proper chillage takes time. But it so worth the wait.
Regardless, I think it is amusing.
Editor's Note: My next blog will be about the upcoming Spurs/Cavs series and my unhappiness regarding the situation.
Stupid Detroit. They choked like Dallas did last year... ugh! Ok, stopping now... will blog more on it later.
