I need a venti

A Venti Chai Tea Latte that is.

Well, that and to vent.

Okay - I need reinforcement y'all, so hear me out.

Consider this scenario:

Guy: Wanna go out?

Me: Sure. When?

Guy: Your call.

Me: Wednesday?

Guy: Okay. Works for me.

Me: Awesome.

Three... four days later. No real contact. Other than a "hey" via text. Then Wednesday... hmmmm, around say 4pm...

Guy: So, what's up for tonight?

Me: Well, since I didn't hear anything else about tonight. (i.e. A time, a place, nada.) I made other plans.

(I didn't really, but WTF?!?! And now he's driven me to playing games. And I really hate that shit.)

Guy: Oh.

Me: Yeah.

Seriously. What is up with that?! I have told lots of people, "Hey, we should do something on Friday", with like 3-4 days in advance. But then I will actually give them a plan. You know, I'll say, "We're doing this or that" kinda jazz. I don't wait until 2-3 hours BEFORE said hang-out time to pull a "Hey, remember when I said we should go out Friday? You know, 4-5 days ago? What? No? Darn."

No, that is not cool.

Now, this is not to say I am not "go-with-the-flow-girl". I can SOOoooOOO be "thatgirl" (heh), but not on date #2. And not w/out at least a 24-hour advance notice. I mean, just a simple "We still on for manana?" would have sufficed. But no! Apparently that was too much to ask for.

Yeah, eff' that. I'm going to Starbucks (or even better, my local coffee shop) and getting me a Chai Tea Latte instead.

How about giving your number to a guy and he never calls? I hate that shit.

Grrrrrr. This seems to be going around. Double grrrrrrr. Whatever happened to old fashioned dating? Not text messages and IM's. Remember when the guy would actually have to show some imagination and PLANNING?

What happened on Date #1?

Hotpinksox must love guys like me. I don't piss anyone off like that; I just don't get numbers.

We had "drinks". Well actually, he had drinks, I had water. He is definitely "Mr. Take it Slow"; but still, a woman likes to be shown some courtesy.
