No, not from the Championship... altho... hehehe, good stuff.
Actually, I got pulled over this morning on my way to work. The moto-cop said I was doing 78 (in a 60)!
I was floored because (and this is what I told him) I would NEVER do anything over 70 on this particular stretch of highway. I've seen way too many people pulled over and I know better. Ya know?! On other stretches... sure, MAYBE; but this one... NO WAY!
And so I sat there... with a look of complete disbelief.
He also said I changed lanes dangerously and got too close to the driver ahead of me. Which I believed, because well, I do that. But only in the fast lane. I mean. Come on peeps, it's okay to go the speed limit in the fast lane. Trust me.
Anyway, I seriously lucked out because he said I was doing 18 over the speed limit. Which would have SUCKED, $$$-wise.
Ya see, I have never received a ticket in the city and I certainly don't plan to start now. Knock on wood. And yes, I've gotten tickets before in my driving lifetime. Three, in fact. One near G-town (while traveling to Dallas), one in Tennessee (fuckers), and one just outside SA (while traveling to Austin). The most recent was on my way to Dallas and I finished Defensive Driving in the spring. So there was no way I would have been able to keep this one off of my record. And the LAST thing I need is to add anymore shit to my driving record. (Accidents and such.)
I drove like a snail the rest of the way to work and expect to do the same this afternoon. I tell ya, nothing scares the shit out of me more than that. Well, except for zombies. And fortunately, they aren't real. So I'm good to go.
Aside from the whole being pulled over bit this morning, things have been pretty lovely as of late. You know - the whole winning of the NBA Championships and all. The celebrating, etc. It was pretty effin' cool.
What's bugging me right now is that there is something I've been meaning to blog about all weekend long and now I cannot remember what it was. Don't you hate that? But I haven't made blog notes to myself in a long ass time and I don't want to start that up again.
Things that made me smile/laugh recently: "LeBroom" (instead of LeBron) James, that deodorant commercial where the guy is blow drying his underarms because his deodorant is too wet and then they show his chest hair all poofed out, and my dad giving ME a gift on Father's Day.
I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

You got out of the ticket? Now, that's a good day.
Blog notes? Um, guilty.
I seriously don't know how I did it. I thought I was done for it.
You write blog notes too? Like I mentioned, I haven't in a while; but I used to. Big time.
Not notes, per se, but I do jot down stuff if I think I might forget to blog about it. When I first started, I kept a running notepad in my purse. So silly.
