That just never gets old. At least not for me.
So, yeah, went to Houston this weekend. Good times!!!
I saw 4 of my dearest friends from college. There's the L fam, Laura, and Annie. I went and played w/the L family and their children. We had so much fun and all we did was play outside and go to the park. Odd, but that was like a true joy for me. I love kids, especially THEIR kids.
Then on Saturday I went to a wedding that my friend Laura was in. The dresses were pretty, the ceremony was short but sweet, and the reception was a blast! Let me tell y'all about this cool ass reception. First off, the groom is Vietnamese... so that meant there was a 9 COURSE MEAL! HELL, to THA YEAH! And it was GOOOOOOOD! Additionally, they decided to decorate EACH table with a bottle of Crown Royal. I don't really drink anymore, but I do enjoy a good whiskey and soda. Sooooo, I had 4.
:)
Then afterwards we hit the after party at a nearby bar. All in all, I laughed, I danced, I partied... it really doesn't get much better than that.
On Sunday, I enjoyed brunch and shopping w/Laura and Anne. It was so easy and comfortable, it was like being in college all over again. I did not however enjoy my drive back home. It was boring and I really wished I had taken someone with me; but I survived and all is well. Unfortunately, I am not feeling well today. I hope it's just allergies; cause y'all know how I get when I'm sick.

Maybe it's the drinks you had? =P

Bwwwahhhhhhaaaaaahhhhhaaaaaaaa. Now, that was funny. I needed that. And Crown & soda? I've never tried mixing my bourbon with soda. It sounds pretty good. I think I'll give it a try this weekend.
And weddings? I love 'em! Not the actual wedding, but the receptions are killer. There hasn't been a good one in ages around here. Pity. And a Vietnamese reception? With Crown? That's a guaranteed good time. Glad you had fun seeing your friends.
Oh - and WHEW - I'm all caught up with your blog. I don't know where my head has been. But I'm back and happy to be reading about your adventures.
