Seems I got screwed. And not in the good way. More like in the I-wanna-cry-and-scream-all-at-the-same-time sorta way. Which should never apply to screwing. IMO.
Yesterday I went on eBay and bought a new Chi. No big deal right. It's how I bought my first one. And besides, I used Paypal. It's the only way to go. Well, as per usual I paid for my item immediately and waited a whole 24 hours for some sort of communication. Today, I went online to look for my item so I could contact the seller and POOF! the item is gone. As are all the other items this particular seller had on eBay. GONE!
You can imagine my response.
I immediately started trying to figure out how in the hell I was going to get my money back. I've put in a claim with Paypal and have sent eBay peeps a good "what the hell?!!?" email. At this time all I can do is wait. Which when you've been screwed out of $70 is the last thing you want to do. But according to the chick at Paypal, I am protected and I will either get my Chi or my money. I suspect in about 30 days Paypal is going to have to bring down the pain on someone.
Psh! Good! Assholes. In the meantime, I have no straightener... And to be honest the idea of buying another one right now just doesn't sit well because then I will feel like I've paid DOUBLE for one. I'm so very disappointed in eBay now. I think it's going to be a very long time before I feel comfortable going there for my online buying needs. Maybe Amazon is the way to go.
Anyways - in the meantime, I have other things to worry about. Like the Spurs/Lakers series that starts tonight. A decade of dominance... daaaaaaang! The pressure!
