All-Star Weekend

Not only was it an All-Star Weekend in the NBA, but it was an All-Star weekend in San Antonio.

My San Antonio Spurs are the 2006 All-Star Team Shoot-Around winners. And not only did we win, but we kicked some serious arse! (Arse = ass)

It was awesome.

Unfortunately, the West choked like a two-dollar hooker on her first night out. But it was still a good game. I guess.

On the homefront, it was cold. Effin' cold. Mother-effin' cold, in fact. I realize "cold" is subjective since some of you live in places that have such things like this mythical "snow" stuff I hear so much about. But for this Mexi - 33 degrees is DAMN cold. If I were a guy, I'd say it was "so cold I froze my nuts off" - but since I'm a woman and have no nuts, I don't have a cute/vulgar hyperbole to express how cold it was over the weekend. I dunno, "freezin' my boobs off" - is just more gross than cute/vulgar. Not that I have penis envy or anything. I mean - sure it'd be nice to pee standing up every now and again. Less mess and all, but otherwise, I'm pretty happy with sitting down every time. In fact, it gives me the opportunity to multi-task. I have been known (at times) to pluck my eyebrows, apply moisturizer, comb my hair, etc. all while peeing. Hey, what can I say - I believe in time management.

Aside from the temperature (Altho, let me just tell y'all, that it is 58 fuckin' degrees inside my office right now. The damn electricity went out this morning and it hasn't warmed back up. It's ridiculous!), this weekend I went to a "Work Party". This was my first social experience with the people I work with... and I have to admit, I had fun. The food was excellent, the locale (someone's MANSION) spectacular, and the company - well, it was amusing. But I seriously had a lot of fun. No, really, I did.

Well, before I get back to work (told you I could multi-task), I'd like to give a couple of birthday shout-outs. First there's my Booboo - Happy Birthday babe! SA just isn't the same without you! And lastly, my friend, Root. Happiest of Birthdays to you, lady! And good luck w/popping out kid #2 tomorrow - y'all are in my prayers. Love you.
