So I've actually been working today. Like for reals.
I am all alone. There is no one to watch what I do. No one to watch me come in or out. I have several websites at my disposal, the LOTR trilogy, a new movie I still haven't seen and I did fucking work! It's a miracle. I think it's going to snow fellow San Antonians. This is our year - I can feel it!
Actually, what I feel is a back spasm I've been having since last Thursday.
So here's the irony. I called in sick Thursday. I wanted a day of rest to coincide with my normal Friday off. I wanted a 4-effin-day-weekend!
Which I got.
Only I was in so much pain all weekend I didn't do a whole lot.
But despite the pain on Thursday (and I'm talking PAIN here people!) I made sure to make the most of my day off. So I went shopping and to the movies... twice.
First off - I went to the movies by myself (just once, the second feature I went to with my cousin).
That was a first for me.
And I gotta say, it wasn't so bad.
But Lord, I hope it's not a preview of my future.
Cause, yikes... that is sad!
It's a shame actually. Because I love going to the movies and so of course all my fam gave me movie passes for my birthday (which btw - I love, I'm seriously not complaining. I say BRING FORTH THE MOVIE PASSES!).
And there I was without a movie partner in the middle of the day during the work week! What's that about?!?! Actually, I had called a teacher friend of mine (you know - the whole summers off bullshit), but she had plans already. So alone I went.
Friday I ran some errands - in pain - watched The Roommate shake her ass in public (belly dancer, remember), etc.
And then there was Saturday.
On Saturday... I sat on my couch... and did not move except to eat and pee (well, actually I worked out in the morning, but shhhh, that's between us.). Aside from the pain, it was okay.
Sunday was family day as per usual - only with an impromptu car wash (I know I've mentioned how much I enjoy hand-washing my car. It's quite therapeutic.) and sun bathing (in pain).
And here we are Monday. Still in pain. But proud of myself for working through it (literally).
BTW - I did NOT go with Pajama Day. I had to change it to "Big Pants Day". And if you're wondering "But Thatgirl7278, how is that different from every other work day?"
Well, it's not. But fuck you, I love my job and wasn't about to get in trouble for wearing pajamas.
So that being the case - tomorrow will now be "Big Shirt Day".

How about big knickers day? You know those granny panties.
I love going to the movies alone. No one to bug you with questions. . .You can spread out . . . You can get there to see the previews . . . It's great.
