I love my job!
If for no other reason than for statements like that.
Anyway. Hi! Miss me? I know. I know. I'm sorry. I've been crazy busy lately.
First, I turned 28. And... I was rained out. My big birthday bash at the park was rained out. I mean - sure it hasn't rained more than an inch or two in the last 2 months - but clearly that doesn't mean my birthday is exempt. Oh well. Mom and Dad and my fam/friends made it up to me. So all is good.
Secondly, I saw Superman Returns. And I gotta admit, I enjoyed it. I COULD go into all of the reasons I liked it... but then you would all know how much of a Superman dork I am and well, it's too early in the morning for that. So I'll just say "Good stuff".
Moving on.
In other news, I lost my thumb ring the other day. And I've been a big ol' mess ever since.
I know what you're thinking... "Thatgirl7278 is a 40 year old white woman still stuck in the 90's?"
To which my response would be "Bite me."
I've had that ring on my thumb since I was 19 years old. It's got sentimental value and now it's gone. Stupid loss of hand weight.
Anyway, I've been really good lately and I have some money saved up. And now I'm thinking "vacation" but I really can't decide where I want to go. Believe it or not, I don't like to spend a lot of money at once (well, unless it's on a cell phone, of course. Speaking of - mine's getting to be about 6 months old. Hmmmm...), so that's why I haven't already booked my flight. But this time I really could use the break. I'll have to look at my options pretty seriously over the next few weeks. The annoying part is I pretty much have to take it in August. The hottest month of the effin' (my new word, btw) year. Maybe I just need a break in Dallas or Houston.
On a whole OTHER subject. Does anyone else have a co-worker who when they are moody or mopey or whatever, it brings the entire atmosphere of the office down to their level? Because holy shit, I sure do! And it is so fucking annoying! I don't expect everyone to be happy and go-lucky every day or anything, but can you leave your bipolar bullshit at the door!?!
And on THAT note, I better get back to work!

Go to California for your vacation. It is always nice weather there. I'm going to the bay area in Sept.

oh and told you to check out selloff vacations.com for cheap vacations if that's what you are looking for! It's awesome. Book last minute and its even better. We went to a 5* in Dominican for about $585 a person. We are going to try to go away again this year.
