GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!
It is World Cup season and oddly enough it has become a part of my daily routine.
From watching it at home to the occasional match in the morning with my students... I've been bitten by the World Cup bug.
I'll be honest. I always thought soccer (oops, I mean football) was just kicking a ball into a goal, but apparently there are rules and strategy.
Oh, I knew about the no hands thing and the hitting the ball with your head... but there's also shit like "off-sides" and "yellow cards". Whodathunk!?!
I suppose I SHOULD be a bigger fan.
Supposedly "futbol" is the sport of my people. Leave it to the Mexicans/Latinos to be good at a sport that consists of not using our hands and running back and forth across lines. And of course, for getting in trouble for being on the wrong side of those lines. Pssh!
So the television at home is almost always on "Univision" (said w/a Spanish accent) and all of the commercials are in Spanish featuring Latino actors/actresses. Hence the blog title: Me encanta! (McDonald's "I'm lovin' it!").
That being the case - Go Argentina!!!!

Got into it this time around too, more so then in the past. However since Ireland aint representin by default I am cheering for Germany...oopsy!
