Father's Day

Almost missed posting about it.

As many know I am extremely close to my dad. I think it's mostly because we are very much alike. Altho, (begrudgingly) I will admit to sharing a few of my mother's (better) qualities.

My dad is like a big kid. In a way.

Some of Dad's favorite things:

- Kids movies (he has to be the first to see every movie made for the 2-10 year old audience).

- McDonald's Happy Meals Toys (he is currently trying to complete his Cars collection).

- Toys (In general. Which is good because I got him a remote control car this year).

- Karaoke (heh, I guess we ARE alike).

- Music (he DEFINITELY has an eclectic taste - ranging from Bach/Beethoven to War to old school Tejano).

- Taking care of plants.

- Barbecuing.

- Pretty much collecting anything.

Dad's a collector. And subsequently so am I. Just not to the same degree as my Pop.

Anyway, this year Dad got a new outfit and a remote control car. We had a fun day hanging out (and planning my upcoming birthday party) and chillin'.

I know how blessed I am to have my Dad with me and for him to be such a huge part of my life. I only hope that one day my future children will have the same opportunity. I KNOW he'll make an excellent grandfather. (I'm in NO RUSH on that tho!)
