It was this time last year that I was in New York City for the very first time in my life. The whole week there was so much fun. Even sharing one toilet/shower with four of my fellow AmeriCorps members, our host and her seven loftmates in Brooklyn.
I think my favorite night was when I got completely hammered and was just laughing and hanging out with my friends.
Funny how that always seems to happen.
I also went and visited a special friend in New Jersey while I was up there. It's kind of a long story, so I won't get too detaily, so I'll just say the visit was long overdue.
I rode the subway ALONE at like 1:00 am!
I learned how to install wood flooring (remember, I worked for Habicrap at the time).
I made new friends.
I whistled the Harlem Globetrotters song IN Harlem.
I saw Ground Zero.
I was right outside the New York Stock Exchange.
And I rode the Staten Island Ferry and saw her majesty (Statue of Liberty).
All in all it was a trip I will not soon forget.
I am not sure if and when I'll be back, but at least I can say I've been.
New York, New York.

I've never been :(
Been close, but I guess that only counts in horseshoes and hand granades.
Maybe one day.
