These hips don't lie

Had fun at the concert on Friday. Me and The Roommate got all Mexi-ed up and went to the AT&T Center to get our Shakira on!

First off - the traffic was nuts. Which surprised the hell out of me. I mean - it's Shakira. There should have just been 4 pick up trucks in the lot. Shoulda been plenty of truck space for all them Mexis. Pero no!

So then we get there and there are fences up... and long ass lines.

I have to say. I was a little afraid. I mean, what the hell had we gotten ourselves into?!?!

Anyway, we made it inside... barely and found our seats.

Ahhh. Good times.

Small world here tho folks. Okay, so San Antonio is a city of like 1.5 million, right? And the AT&T Center holds about 17k and the concert was either sold out or practically sold out . They were A LOT of peeps. Anyway, who sits right behind us? The Roommate's old boss with his chick (who incidentally doesn't like The Roommate). Sucked to be her because she was all intimidated and couldn't get her Shakira grove on as much as she would have liked to. Not me tho! Pssh. Eff that! I was all about shaking my hips and singing out loud (when I could understand the lyrics, that is).

After the concert we booked it back to the parking lot. Immediately being THOSE GIRLS who had to play a CD from the artist whose concert they had just attended. Yup. That was us. So then we proceed to literally sit in a parked, but running car for about 45 minutes waiting to get out of the parking lot. It was ridiculous. Again! WTF Mexis! You were all supposed to carpool. That's what we do! Well, since we'd all been sitting there for so long, not moving, once the line did start to move it was ruthless. Cars knocking out other cars. People yelling, honking... cutting each other off. That's when I knew I was with my peeps.

It really was just the right end to a great night.
