Dallas rocks my world.
First off - the traffic was manageable. I guess no one was actually GOING to Dallas for Labor Day weekend but us. Which was cool. I did not mind at all. I will say that traffic in Austin blows. To those of you who live in Austin - y'all are just screwed. I truly feel for y'all and your traffic issues. I mean it was like 2pm and it was effin' bumper to bumper. That's such bullshit.
So we get to Dallas and it's been a blast. I was able to visit Mecca at long last. In this case, "Mecca" is otherwise known as Grapevine Mills. It's a huge (and I'm talking MASSIVE, folks) outlet mall that is all enclosed into one mall. It was beautiful. I cried. My friend Erin had to hold me.
I bought some jeans and a new top. The top... is HOT! And folks, I don't buy "hot" clothes. Before this summer I was in fact known for my "over 40" wardrobe. Fortunately, I've been working out, so I have some nice arms to show off now. I need to work on my tan tho - yikes!
I'm Mexican, I swear it. Tho you wouldn't know by my skin color. Ooops.
Anyway - tonight we went to a couple of bars. It was awesome. I love live music. The best part... I slow danced with a very cool guy. And by "slow danced" I mean, just that. Not bumpin' and grindin' - because we all know THAT is much different.
2 words.
Mmmmm. MMmmm.
Yeah, I haven't slow danced in YEARS. It was great. I will have to do more of that. Much more. Anyone want to ... uhm... volunteer. Trust me, all it takes is one slow dance and I melt like butter.
Tomorrow we return home. Back to the real world. I'll have to say goodbye to my friend... again. It's not REALLY a goodbye, but that doesn't make it any easier.
Dude. It's fucking 3:45 am. I need to go already. I've got a lot of driving ahead of me manana. But you know what - it was so worth it.

I loved having you guys here! PLEASE come back any time you want. Next time I'll find places for us to go. . . show off my town a little. As soon as you left I thought of about 3 different places I should have shown you. You know, so you'd be able to "see what the big deal about this place is." Oh, and by the way, it's not simply the D, it's "The Big D" - you got it right at the end, almost. he he. We're a little snobby up here! I love you very much!!
