Well, damnit. I'm a music snob.

In a way.

I don't want to be. I mean, I like all kinds of music. Really, I do. I'm having a hard time getting into the new "retro sound" type bands that are all the rage these days. But I certainly don't blame others for getting into them. By all means, peeps. Knock yourselves out.

Except, of course, for Coldplay. I'm kinda glad they are on a break. I'd had enough of them already.

Besides, I am a firm believer in music being about a time and a place. Think about it. You've just been dumped - Danity Kane's "Showstopper" or Luda's "Moneymaker" are probably not the songs to go with.

Or let's say you're going out w/friends - Blue October and Snow Patrol are NOT the tunes I want to hear. I'm sorry.

In other news...

that cute top I bought in Dallas... yeah it has sequins and those sequins like to scratch the shit out of my arms. I tell you!!!!! The price us women pay to look good. Pssh!

mom's birthday is Thursday.... yep... FUCK!
Time to head back to the store and get her a present or two I know she'll hate. Or at least dislike.

OOooooooOOo... got my essay back. My first real assignment in 6 years. Mind you it was a small one and not very difficult, but still. It had to be done. Anyway, I got a 99!!! I'm a genius! And so now I know, writing papers IS like riding a bike.

My weekend in Austin was MUCH fun. I got to see a lot of friends who live in the area and my BFF from college. Gooooood times! I also got to drink beer. Which is not very often (you know the whole healthy lifestyle, etc), so when it happens I tend to enjoy it more than most.
