Once bitten, twice shy

I had a pretty typical weekend, nothing terribly exciting.

Oh wait! I'm lying.

I went out w/The Roommate on Friday... she was hanging with her cousin and some friends at a local bar. I was up for it, so I decided to meet up w/them.

I get to the bar and there's a small crowd already there. About 5 - this includes The Roommate and two other couples... or so I thought.

It was pretty fun. There were decent tunes playing and the beers were flowing. I was not drinking that night, but it seemed like most of the others were (except maybe The Roommate).

ANYWAY, so The Roommate and I are on the dance floor and one of the guys in the group starts dancing with us. He was pretty drunk, but seemed nice. It was all good clean fun - but admittedly there was some "bumping and grinding" going on. I thought his "chick" might be weirded out by it (keep in mind, it was COMPLETELY initiated by this dude), but she didn't even flinch. Since I could tell he was pretty drunk, I didn't think much of it and just... kept dancing.

WELL!!! All was nice and innocent until at one point while he was "grinding" up behind me I noticed/felt his... "grindage" was, well... not so innocent.

So I'm thinking "okay, fine." Sometimes that happens when you're dancing with guys. It wasn't a big deal... until he effin' BIT ME!!!

(Interjection: I was wearing a sleeveless, strappy top.)

I was way surprised. I kind of shrugged him off and danced forward a bit, separating myself.

I mean, can you imagine???!!

I walked back over to The Roommate and told her "I realize he's drunk, but that chick's dude just bit me!" She looked at me so apologetic, but said "They're not together."

Oh.

I mean. I guess that's better, right?

Fortunately, no mark was left. I mean - normally I'm just fine with a little bit of nibblage. You know, in the right context. But this was just a bit too much bite... esp from someone who I thought was someone else's bf and was a total stranger. Oh well. Live and learn.
