Bye bye fling

So my airmen is leaving SA this weekend. And so ends my fling.

Wanna hear something bad?

Last weekend:

Fling: What are you going to do when I leave?

Me: What do you mean?

Fling: You know. Now that this (sort of motioning between us) is going to end.

Me: Uhm. Look for someone new.

Fling: Oh.

Me: (thinking: Was that mean?) Well, you know.

Fling: So, can I call you? If and when I come back to SA?

Me: Sure. I mean, no promises, but yeah.

Dude, I can be such a "guy" sometimes.

I don't MEAN to be. I'd love to be in a committed relationship. You know, to be in a situation where I have to decide whose place I'll be staying at most nights (which would be MY place). And where (as a couple) we'll be having dinner on Friday nights. Teasing each other about our favorite TV programming - mine being American Idol and his being anything else that's not as cool as American Idol, the Office, or Grey's.

(Editor's note: I'm listening to XM Radio Online right now... and totally jamming to Nelson's "Can't Live Without Your Love and Affection". Awwww, good times.)

Anyway, back to my post. Yeah. So stuff like that.

In the meantime, I guess I'll just see what's out there.

Man, I hate this part.

Hey - you're honest. What's wrong with that?

Wow, I just scared myself. I totally knew the exact song and band (duo?) you were talking about. Nelson. If those guys had just gotten a haircut they might've been taken seriously. Too sad. (Guilty pleasure admission: I actually owned a cd by them. Shhhh. Don't tell.)

BTW, I loooooooove that you were able to "be a guy". So much easier said than done.

My fling... decided to extend his stay. He actually didn't leave until today (Wednesday). Is it bad that I was like "Haven't you left, yet?"

Not that I was excited to see him go, it was just so odd that it went on and on. Oh well.

Moving on.
