Actually, I do kind of like that show too.
Anyway.
So despite the fact that I was EXTREMELY tired this morning (still am, in fact), I started my day off in a GREAT mood. And why, you ask? 2 words... Cyndi Lauper!
You really cannot be in a bad mood or feel emotionally and physically drained when listening to Cyndi Lauper. Especially not when "Good Enough" comes on. Do you remember that song? It was the theme song from one of the BEST movies of the 80s - "The Goonies". Aww, come on, you 'member! I'm STILL to this day, a Sean Astin fan because of that movie... even if he IS super short. SO CUTE!
Anyways, so I was driving to work JAMMING to that song (I have Cyndi Lauper's Greatest Hits) this morning. And after that CD, I started listening to Bon Jovi! "Wanted Dead or Alive", "Livin' on a Prayer", "You Give Love a Bad Name", and so much more. As you can tell my commute is quite lengthy (or at least it feels as tho it is), but it's so much better when I play just the right CD.
Speaking of music, I am about to rejoin BMG. I don't even want to think about all the $$ I have spent on CDs with them over the years. But I have to admit, they do offer the best deals.
My list of must-gets include the following:
Heart
Journey
Linkin Park (the one where they are joined w/peeps like Jay Z)
The Game
Guns N' Roses
Al Green
Queens of the Stone Age
I'm still considering a few others. I'll let you know what I decide.
You know what else I loved about the 80s... PURPLE. I really liked the color purple (and no, I'm not referring to the movie, altho the movie IS good too) in the 80s. Hmmm, odd that I'd share that w/y'all, but there you have it. I loved PURPLE as a kid growing up.

It was all about the mint green and other assorted pastels. I'm waiting for the fashion comback.
