How I Spent My Thanksgiving Break

By Thatgirl7278:

Ah yes, another lovely Thanksgiving has come and gone. This one a bit more memorable than the last.

First - there was the turkey that was only slightly raw.
Damned if I care. It was still turkey. And clearly, I lived.

Second - there was quite a disappointing Dallas loss. But it was a pretty good game.
Then there was pie. Glorious, glorious pie. Covered with Cool Whip.

Seriously - whoever thought of Cool Whip - I love you. We should hook up.

Mmmmmm Cool Whip.

Okay.

Sorry about that. I'm good now.

So, yeah. Thanksgiving. Food. Family. Football. Friends.

Good times.

Then there was the AFTER Thanksgiving events. First off - I didn't go shopping. At least not at the unGodly hour of 6am. Instead I did some light afternoon shopping. One other thing I did do (hehe, did-do) is - I dyed my hair. It's now dark brown/mahogany. I'm diggin' it.

It's pretty dark tho. Of course, my Mom hates it. In fact, a couple of peeps I know don't really care for it. Apparently they preferred the highlights. Which - I get. I mean - I looked pretty damn good w/the highlights. But it's December and I wanted a little change. Besides - nothing makes your hair look healthier than a dye job (which, ironically can damage your hair, but whatev).

So one of my best friend's (Erin) was home for the holidays and she joined me, Leslie and some mixed friends at a local watering hole.

Pay attention because this is where I tell you about the guy I met this weekend. We'll call him, Sexy-Mexi-Who-Is-Extremely-Nice-With-Yummy-Looking-Lips-Who-Makes-Me-Weak-In-The-Knees-When-He-Says-My-Name (or "Papi Chulo" for short).

Super cute. Easy to talk to, nice, funny, smart, family-oriented... you name it. What's the catch? (Cause like I always say "if it sounds too good to be true, it's probably is.") He lives in Milwaukee.

Exactly. Suckage!

Born and raised here - home for the holidays - but lives far far away. I'm not particularly interested in falling into THAT trap again. I guess the only thing that has made wonder "what if" was that in the several hours we spent hanging out - he said at least 3 times that he misses SA and that he can't wait to move back home.

Anyway - he's supposed to come back home for Christmas. I wonder if I will see him again. I'll keep you posted.

As for the rest of my break - it was spent working (remember the 2nd job?) and shopping.

Now it's time for 24/7 Christmas music on XM radio at work.

Rock on.
