It's my blog's first birfday and it doesn't look a day over 3 months...

Wow. "Oscar" is 1.

I can't believe it's only been a year since I started writing this bad boy (heh, spankings anyone?). It feels like ... like it's only been about 9 months... or maybe 10. But no, it's a year later. woah.

And hey, a step in the right direction, I've followed through on it. I mean - I didn't give up. I didn't become bored and stop writing after a few weeks/months. I stuck through. Even when I had no readers (meaning my friends knew nothing about it)... I still wrote. And then when I had readers, but no one ever wrote comments... I still wrote. Even when I didn't have computer access at home... I still wrote. Even when I was homeless, living in an alley giving handjobs for my crack addiction... I... still... wrote.

And now look at "Oscar". My friends know about him. He gets comments (altho, he could use a bit more). I have computer access at home (sure it's stolen, but no one needs to know that). I'm no longer homeless... and I kicked the crack addiction. And of course now I give handjobs for free.

All and all, I can't complain.

But let me bring it back to the birthday part of all this. Some say "anniversary". I don't. Mostly because that would indicate some sort of relationship between me and "Oscar". And there just isn't one. Sure he tried to initiate a little sumthin' sumthin' one night... I believe a six-pack was involved (hey, I'm a cheap drunk, what can I say!?!?)... but I resisted. Barely. We're just friends. I didn't want it to get weird in case things didn't work out.

So, here it is January 13 (Friday the 13th!! oooOOOOoooooOOOOoo), 2006. A year after I gave you such genius as snaps her gum like some hooker from the Red Light District trying to talk it up w/a new trick on the corner and I am one of "those people" who drive their cars until the little gas light on the dash lights up to tell you "refill this bitch already or risk getting stuck somewhere". It's a wonder anyone reads this at all.
