And when the hell did the costs of stamps go up?

Have I been living in a hole for the last few days/weeks?

Apparently so.

Question... are they trying to stop people from sending real mail? I mean 39 cents? That's just crazy talk.

I'm sure that slowly but surely postal workers around the country will be "let go" due to the drop in stamp sales.

Hmmm, fortunately, I still have a stack of 3 cent stamps laying around from all the damn times I was just trying to buy just ONE 37 cent stamp... and instead of getting change back, I'd get a damn stamp. I used to save them so I could stick seven of them on a postcard (that equals 21 cents for my mathematically challenged readers) and send it off. I've actually been known to send a postcard simply for that reason. Meaning, I would drop a postcard in the mail and by the time I'd attached all the 3 cent stamps there would only be room for the address, my name, and return address.

Anyway. Of course, I'll expect my change (cause 37 plus 3 equals 40 you see, not 39). And if not, a 1 cent stamp will suffice. Because soon THOSE will stack up and then I can stick all 39 of them on an envelope and I'll be good to go.

Of course, they could have just fucking changed it to 40 cents... but nooooooo, that would make too much sense (heh, cents... sense... I kill me!).
