Random title for a random blog...
I was walking around campus earlier today and I saw a bunch of pigeons. And of the group of pigeons I saw, while many of them were grey or black, some even white... it's the brown ones that always tend to stand out to me. Maybe it's because I associate with them the most, I can't say for sure, but for some reason whenever I see brown pigeons I immediately think "Awww. They're so cute. And brown." However any other color pigeon crosses my path and I'm more like "Yuck! Gross! Get the fuck away from me!"
It's racial.
I know.
In other news, I tried to quit my second job the other day and they kind of wouldn't let me. Lately I've only been working Saturdays - have to cover my loan shark debts and all (otherwise known as college loans) - but with the summer coming up I wanted to be able to keep my weekends free. So I put in my two weeks notice. Well, that's when one of my friends there asked me why I was quitting. I went into my explanation.
Me: Well, I have a lot of things going on this summer and since I only work Saturdays, I didn't feel comfortable asking off so much.
Joto (my friend): You should talk to Connie (the boss), I bet she'll let you do whatever. We don't want to lose you Ari.
Me: Okay, I'll talk to her.
Joto: You have time now? I'll transfer you.
Me: (crap!) Ok.
Connie: You can't leave us Arianna.
Me: But Connie, I am really only going to be able to work like 1-2 Saturdays a month. And I don't want to switch weekend days.
Connie: So just work 1-2 Saturdays a month. As long as you tell us up front when you can work, I'm sure we can accommodate.
Me: Really? Uh. Well. Okay.
So that's how it went. I figure it'll be like a hobby. You know. Just something I do on occasion. Whenever I feel like it.
Hey, I could always use the extra gas money, right?
