Memorial Day in the Big D

I'm going back. Back to the scene of the crime. ;)

Confused?

I'm going to Dallas this weekend to visit one of my BFFs. (To recap the whole "scene of the crime" action, Dallas is where I spent most of November and parts of December visiting my ex). So my BFF is going through a messy breakup. Speaking of breakups, I have another BFF who is ALSO going through a breakup. Crazy, eh? Something must be in the air.

But you know what that means? Now that summer is almost here... it's time for "Summer lovin', had me a blast..."

Sing it with me, now!

And, I'm done.

Back to the trip. Okay. Yeah. I have a 4-day weekend ahead of me (jealous?) and I decided I needed to get the hell out of Dodge. The BFF is depressed and she needs some Ari to cheer her up. I'm down! I just wish gas hadn't decided to make THIS the week to go up to $3 effin' dollars. Oh, I mean, $2.99. Like we don't know it's $3. Like that one penny is going to make us feel better than you're bending us over and shoving it deep just so we can gas up, Federal Government. (Hey, I gotta blame some one for this mess we're in.)

I am a little weary about going. It will very likely bring back some very bittersweet memories that I have buried deep down. But the point is, this weekend is not about me. It's about getting out of town and cheering up one of my oldest friends. I will definitely be up to the challenge. I suspect a lot of alcohol will be consumed and a lot of macking (it's just what we do when we're out together) will be done. BTW, to clarify, that means macking on guys... not each other. Pervs. ;)

If anyone wants to hang out in the DFW area this weekend, send me a holla'. We'll party it up Thatgirl7278 style... whatever the hell THAT means?!?!

It's always good to involve lots of alcohol when cheering up a BFF.

Well hells bells. Apparently, I've stayed away too long - it would've been great if I'd known before your trip to Dallas. Sheesh. Where ARE my priorities? Anyway - I've learned my lesson. Next time it would be cool to grab a drink and get to meet a fellow blogger. Dang.
