My patriotism needs some work

I had to remind myself the other day what Memorial Day was supposed to celebrate.

The troops, right? And fallen soldiers?

Does eating Mexican food, watching basketball, and driving 5 hours constitute celebrating that? I hope so, cause that's pretty much all I did.

I was so tired on Monday that I think I slept pretty much all the way from Waxahachie (sp?) to San Marcos. And I was driving.

Why was I so tired? Well, I don't sleep very well outside of my own bed, so I didn't get much rest over the long weekend.

Dallas was fun. I really like my friend's friends. They are fun and very nice. I always have a good time when I visit. This particular visit was no exception. It was (at times) a bit hard to be back... (the memories came back and hit me like a tidal wave) but I survived.

I have made a new resolution for June.

To get my ass back on track. I have been in a serious emotional funk the last few weeks - lots of ups and downs and it's made an impact on my waist line. So enough of THAT shit. Back to reality. It's about time.

So, my friend Erin (who I was visiting) told me I had great legs. Or rather great... uhm... something. I can't remember. Essentially, she's training to be a message therapist, so she's learning about all muscles and shit and she said I have great definition in my legs and arms. I am sure I blushed when she said so (in front of her friends), but I played it off like it was something I already knew. Always good to know I have great legs... now if only I knew how to uuUUuse them (that last part was sung).

Let's see - what else? Eh. Guess not much.

Oh yeah, loving me some basketball right - GO Spurs GO!

Wow, what a great compliment from Erin. Glad you had fun over the weekend - you can always tell if it was a good time by how tired you are on the way home!

BTW - Lovin' me some Spurs! Go Spurs Go!
