Sooooooooo - who's into Harry Potter?

Have I ever mentioned that I'm a fan?

Well, I am. Not a psycho, stand-in-line-for-hours-waiting-for-midnight-to-get-my-copy-of-the-book variety of fan, but still. Actually, I'm more like the dress-up-in-costume-and-stand-in-line-for-DAYS-waiting-for-the-book-to-be-released-to-the-public freak who gets made fun of.

Pshyeah... right. Not even!

(Editor's note: There was a fuckin' YELLOW JACKET on my desk a minute ago and it wouldn't fly away! I threw a stapler at it. Several pens. And they would hit it... but the damn thing would just walk around. WTF! Finally one of my students took pity on me and killed it. I was pissin' in my pants, y'all!)

Back to HP (that'd be short for "Harry Potter").

So my friend Becky bought the new HP on Saturday. I read the last chapter later that night (Yep, I'm one of those people who will read the last few pages of a book they're reading). First off, let me assure you I won't reveal any clues to how it ends (they all die!). But one thing I WILL reveal is that there is a character in the book named after me. No, not "thatgirl7278", although that'd be oddly cool, I'm talking about my real name. Unfortunately for her, J.K. doesn't know how to spell and so she spelled my name wrong, but nevertheless, there is a character named "Ariana". I don't know anything about this character; I mean, she could be a "bad guy" or even a "good guy" for all I know. Regardless, it's super cool, eh? Yeah, I thought so too.

BTW - this is coming from the chick who doesn't see her name around all that much. I mean, it ain't like my name is Jennifer or Katherine or Christina, or the like.
