Ok, so a week ago on my way home in the middle of the night I had a BLOWOUT!
Not the scary, "Holy-shit-I-think-my-tired-just-exploded-and-I-can't-handle-my-steering-wheel!" type of blowout, more of a.. "what-the-hell-was-that-noise-and-why-is-my-wheel-vibrating-like-that?"
(on a side note, I just realized how annoying it is to type w/all those slashes. Hmmm-.-.-.-maybe-I-should-do-it-the-whole-email? Nah,-I-don't-want-to-scare-off-everyone-who-reads-this. All-two-of-you.)
So, anyway, it happened pretty late, like around 12:30 am and I was a good 40 miles from San Antonio and 40 miles from Austin... and I since I didn't know anyone in either San Marcos or New Braunfels, I was pretty much screwed.
So in the dark I proceeded to change my tire. Can I just mention how much this SUCKED!! I'm not exactly auto-mechanic material, but at least I do know HOW to change my tire... anywho... so after a few debacles... i.e. my spare rolling down the side of the embankment onto the access road 25 feet below and 2 cops slowing down (but not actually stopping) to shine their damn high beam spotlight on me and 45 minutes later... I have the spare on.
It was 2:00am before I got home. I was dirty and tired and not in a very good mood as you can imagine. Well, this whole story ends w/two final pieces of information:
1. When I took in my tire to be replaced, I found something out about my old tire. You see I had it patched about a month before the blowout and the a-hole who patched it did a shoddy job and THAT'S why it blew out. So, heed this all San Antonians - DON'T GO TO MARTINEZ TIRE ON BLANCO ROAD! THEY WILL SCREW YOU!
2. And apparently about 10 miles down the road some woman was RAN OFF THE ROAD and robbed by some teenagers at like 2 or 3 am that same night.
That's messed up!
Good times.

Hi, I guess I am reader #3.... you are better than me, I couldn't change my tire if I was being held at gunpoint.
Welcome to my Blog. Please sit back, kick your shoes off and make yourself at home.
