Say whaaaaa?

I've thought about this before - but can someone please explain those Progressive commercials... the ones where they have "their customers" (pshaw, riiiight) hold up different quotes from different insurance companies. And you see that sometimes Progressive is at the top with the lowest rates and other times it's the 4th or 5th down. I mean - who in their RIGHT mind would pay $300-$400 more every 6 months just to stay w/the same car insurance company?!?!

Dude. Really.

That's almost $1000 a year... hell, that's around $4000 every 5 years (if you're thinking "Thatgirl7278, $1000 times 5 is $5000 not $4k" I know, I was going by the original $300-$400, so bite my ass).

Anyway, if you're one of these customers who pays MORE than they really have to for car insurance - you're an idiot. And I don't feel sorry for you at all. In fact, you should keep letting Progressive bend you over. Just for kicks.

They already got me bent over - unfortunately two car accidents within 2 years will put you into that situation. Yeah, I know, sucks to be me. Well, wait, lemme explain. The first one was NOT a car accident per se. I smacked into a damn beam as I was backing out of a covered parking spot. And silly me, I thought "hey, that's what insurance is for, I'll make a claim". I'm such a dumbass.

So I leave you with at least THAT much advice... if you screw up YOUR OWN CAR, don't make a claim. Fix it yourself - cause you NEVER know.

Hey, I tried that link to block the spammers but it didn't work. Try it again.

I think the reason they include the signs where Progressive isn't the best is just to show how freakin honest they are. The whole thrust of those commercials is to tell you that they'll shop around for you. Sometimes they'll be the best deal, sometimes not, but they'll always tell you when they're not so you can GET the best deal...

Why would they do that? Because that way you always go to them first, figuring you'll always get the best deal, and many times it'll be them, so they get extra business out of it.

Too bad Progressive isn't offered in Jersey...

They still got me bent over like a dog in heat. But I guess I have no one to blame but myself.
