Tales from the Crypt

I'm sick!

No, not "hey little boy, why don't you come over and sit on Mommy's lap" sick, more like "I got a pain in shess... and I cant breaf" sick! (hehehe!! Oh George Lopez, you are so funny!)

No, seriously, I've got some sort of new sexy, congestiony, phlegmy throat thing that's been going around the office.

And to top it off I'm dead broke (but not broke enough to buy a new cell phone *see previous post*) so I can't afford to buy tissues so I'm blowing my nose w/napkins. We'll see how long THAT lasts.

Anyway, so that's how my weekend started... on Friday w/a fever and this crappy cold. I stayed home during the day (but I still went to work at night). You'd be amazed what will keep me home from my salaried job and what WON'T keep me home from my hourly job. NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK!!!

On Saturday night I saw Frankenstein and Angina!

Together.

For the first time.

And no I don't mean I saw them doing it or anything, altho they are AWFULLY touchy-feely with one another, I just saw them at a mutual friends' party. I mean "get together". ;) (that one's for you Frequent Reader)

And I didn't say ONE WORD to her. I don't even think I smiled or locked eyes w/her. But to excuse my behavior, they left probably not 15-20 minutes after I walked in the door so it wasn't as if I went the whole night ignoring her or anything. I just didn't know what to say. I mean, Frankenstein should have at least introduced her. I mean, yes, duh of course I know who she is, but I haven't seen her in about 9 years and she is now technically his girlfriend. So it should have been up to him to say something. That way I could have just said "hey, nice seeing you again".

Come on! Who's with me on this one!?!?!

But of course... come Sunday I felt pretty guilty. I would really hate to think my friend (Frankenstein, not Angina) was annoyed or upset w/me for ignoring his gf. I'm not a mean person. I'm certainly not a snob either. But I can ONLY imagine how I must have come across. Stacy said I shouldn't feel guilty because it's not as tho Angina made any effort to talk to me either, but since in this case, she's considered the "new person" in the group it's not as tho she's required to do so. Well, the conclusion to this is that I emailed Frankenstein and apologized if I came across as rude. I then placed all the blame on him for not being cool enough to make the introductions. And now I am ready to wash my hands of this whole mess. There. It's done. Case closed.
