Remember how I mentioned I met a guy Monday night and then I dropped it so as not to jinx it. I either should have KEPT talking or NEVER even mentioned to being with.
Yeah... so I get a call at around midnight last night from a girl who asks me if I know "Chris so-and-so".
"Well, sort of."
"Okay. Well, as one woman to another. I just wanted to let you know HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND!"
"Excuse me?!?!"
"Woman to woman I need to know if anything happened between you two. Because he does this shit all the time and I want to tell her because she has the right to know the bullshit he does" blah blah blah.
I think I wanted to throw up at that exact moment.
But I swallowed it back - told her nothing REALLY had happened between us except a few phone conversations. The only reason we hadn't already met up again was due to conflicting schedules.
I'm trying really hard to find some humor in this situation, but I just can't.
So we hang up, I immediately delete his number from my phone... this includes in the incoming and outgoing call lists. And altho I am about 5 seconds from running to the nearest bar and getting tossed, I remember I'm too broke to do so.
So instead I just walk around my house, nauseated still from the whole confrontation. And watch some stupid movie until I fall asleep on the couch.
You know what bugs me about this. Well, aside from feeling like a total chump. I feel as though I was at fault here. I never asked "do you have a gf?" I just naturally assumed that since we went through the initial motions, he was on the up-and-up.
Unfortunately, there are women out there who don't mind being the "other woman". In fact, some women actually look for it. But I am not one of those women. I REPEAT I am NOT THAT GIRL! Ok, wait, I AM ThatGirl7278, but just not THAT GIRL!
Ya know, in hindsight, I should have known better. I have the WORST track record w/guys named "Chris".
