Sometimes I realize at the most random of moments just how much a creature of habit I am. Whether it be my "morning ritual", my grocery shopping habits (Hell! My shopping habits in general), the way I jog, work, everything.
i.e. Last night while I was taking a shower I realized that I am even so habitual as to use the same amount of shampoo whenever I wash my hair.
Ya see, I recently got a haircut. Chopped off about an inch and some change. Basically enough that I really don't need as much shampoo, yet whenever I wash my hair, I'm still squeezing out the same amount I used to. So then I will get annoyed with myself for wasting shampoo. It's all very silly, I realize, but that's just how I think. Sue me. No, wait. Please don't. I don't have any money.
Let's see ... what else. Oh yes, way I start my day at work. Even down to the websites I check and in what order I check them. I hate to use the phrase OCD, but only because it seems to be tossed around so much. Kind of like ADHD. Ever noticed that? Anytime you have ANY kind of issues w/paying attention it's "Oh - you have ADHD" or "You only open doors with your right hand and always start every step with your left foot? You must be OCD." That's just crazy talk. It just means we are creatures of habit. Big deal.

I am a total creature of habit.
If I miss something in my routing, in the shower for example (cuz a visual of me all wet and nekkid is what you need right?) I'm messed up and out of sorts for the rest of the morning. I repeat things to myself so that I know I did it all.
Hmmm maybe that's more along the lines of mental issues.
