Random Stuff

Editor’s Note: This is my second attempt at this, damn Explorer knocked me off, so don’t expect it to be nearly as clever and witty as the original. It’s just not possible.

Being as I was gone yesterday, I have a lot to discuss, but rather than break it up into several different posts, I’m just going to do one and number each story. I just don’t have the patience to do them separately.

Here we go:

1. Carrie Underwood is the new American Idol. Granted, she can sing. And granted she certainly “looks the part” but that still sucks. I vow to you today that there is about the same chance of me buying her album as there is of me buying Paula Abdul’s next album. Although, I do have her first one… but I mean, gimme a break who can resist “Straight up now tell me is it gonna be you and me forever, oh oh oh!”? Don’t lie. Anyway, I feel I can vent, because I did indeed send in my text message vote. And just because it was one vote in (I think) 20+ million don’t mean shit, I can still bitch. So bite me.

2. My forearms are sore as all hell today. Okay, stop now before your mind buys a condo in the gutter perv. My arms are sore because I spent most of yesterday swinging a machete around. And yes, it is as cool as it looks. I spent all of yesterday out at Castroville Regional Park getting my trail building on. I’m actually not much of the “outdoorsy” type. Shocker, I’m sure. Sorry, but I like running warm water, a real toilet, and a down-feather top mattress. Besides – my idea of fun is not typically running around the Hill Country of Texas worrying about chiggers, snakes, and every other damn bug known to mankind. However, there were a few pluses: a killer tan (with killer matching tan lines, oh well), machete fights with CJ, all the Blue Gatorade I could consume, awesome views of the hillside, and having fun hanging out w/my work peeps.

3. My blog has reached new highs. One can and HAS found my blog by searching with the phrases “birthday spanking” and “pedo boys”. It’s a scary thought, but you know what, I think you regulars probably have similar readers. So there!

4. I am one of the few people left in this country who has not seen Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. And it’s not because I don’t want to, in fact I can’t wait, it’s because I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to go. And unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’ll have any chance soon to go. But I’ll keep you posted. I’m actually more excited about a possible Star Wars Episodes I-III Trivial Pursuit game. That way I can play both versions (I have the original one) at the same time. Holy crap – I am a geek.

5. I'm ready for another Memorial Day Miracle, circa Sean Elliott this weekend. Go SPURS Go!

5. Think I might be developing what my friend has deemed a “blog crush”. How truly embarrassing. *That was sarcasm* Too bad I don’t really give a shit. Personally, I think it’s all very amusing.
